Head Coach Dave Grant
It is not often that you find an individual as passionate, energetic and committed about a sport as Dave Grant. He has been involved in coaching and competing in cross country, track and road running at the High School, Club and University levels for over 50 years.
Dave has extensive coaching experience in the following event areas: 400m/Int Hurdles, 800m, 1500m, 3000m (including Steeplechase),5000m, 10000m, Cross Country & Marathon.
Dave’s formal education provided him a strong base with which to build his running and coaching career on:
BSc. in Honours Kinesiology, 1975, University of Waterloo
B.Ed- Int. & Sr. qualifications in Sciences, Biology & Physical/Health Education, Queens University, 1977
Coached Track & Cross Country Running/Skiing at Frontenac Secondary School for 34 years
Coached the Queens University Varsity Men’s Cross Country, Middle & Distance runners from 1977-’85
Convened numerous County, Association, Regional & OFSAA Championships in Track & Cross Country.
Adam Andrecyk, Minor Track Competitive Coach
Adam brings many years of personal experience and excitement to the Minor Track Program. Since graduating from Queen’s University in 2006, he has been teaching and coaching at the high school level with Limestone District School Board. He continues to pursue his own competitive running career, competing in 5K, 10K and half-marathon distances. For the past three years, Adam has been invited to compete in the Canadian 5K Championships. He is eager to broaden his skills and knowledge to help foster a passion for athletics.
